Lack of Specialized Support for All Ages Makes Life Hard - By Frustrated Mom of Nonverbal Child with Autism and Epilepsy

Getting the services my son needs in a timely fashion has been my greatest challenge with early childhood services. Specialists are either not available in our area or we find one but then the whole branch is eliminated since we are not Chicago (or we have to drive to Madison, Wisconsin).

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and Speech are the biggest services my family and I need. We could also use a reliable summer program that works for my son’s age and ability level.
