Pros/Cons of My Child’s Experience with Early Childhood – By Tiffany McSpadden

One of my greatest successes has been speech therapy with my child. He has mild hearing loss, and being able to obtain speech has been a blessing for us all. A challenge for us was getting my son's apraxia of speech diagnosis. It took us nearly 12 months back in 2019, and today some moms tell me it has taken well over 18 months for an appointment.

One of the services that would be most helpful would be having more options for preschool. I feel the longer kids engage in learning, the better off they will be. COVID has really disrupted children’s learning, and we need to get back on track. Also, we need more child care options because that seems to be a huge struggle for mothers in my area.
