The Oz – By The Williams
We started using Early Childhood services with our child at 2 years old, as he was completely non-verbal. We immediately began utilizing Early Intervention benefits, which allowed him to receive occupational, physical, developmental, and speech therapies. The program's collaborative approach, where therapists worked together on-site, proved incredibly effective. Through our involvement with the Restore Network and his transition to Pre-K in the Waterloo School District, he has continued to receive therapies and made remarkable progress. A recent update to his IEP (Individualized Education Plan) noted that he is now 'chatty,' having evolved from being non-verbal to possessing impressive reading, writing, and math skills, as well as the ability to engage in full conversations.
To support positive change for families in our community, we volunteer with local foster groups on their holiday and back-to-school parties. It is a truly rewarding experience and it's wonderful to see such a great turnout and support for the children, which is a heartwarming reminder of the impact we can have.
