Long-Distance Child Care - By Cheyenne Camden

I have two kids ages 5 and 2. My greatest challenge is child care. It prohibits me from working full time. I resort to my aunt watching my 2-year-old, but she lives 20 miles away (one way). I have to take and pick up my 5-year-old from school, and I cannot figure out a working situation that meets the hours of 8:30am-2:00pm so I can drive to Jerseyville and back to get my 5-year-old from school on time. My aunt cannot do pick up and drop off. This also limits my income, so finding child care I can afford is impossible.

I need affordable child care. I have called, but I took myself off the wait list because I won't be able to afford it if I do get a call back.
