FY2024 Grant Announcement Coverage
Birth to Five Illinois is excited to announce a $600,000 funding opportunity to support existing Local Early Childhood Collaborations and for the establishment of new Early Childhood Collaborations. Through these grants, Birth to Five Illinois hopes to encourage a systems-level approach to improving Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and increasing enrollment in ECEC programs and services, especially in areas of the State where a Collaboration is not currently available.
The anticipated grant amounts of $50,000 to $80,000 will allow recipients to focus on the needs identified at the local level within their own communities. Grantees must use these funds toward strategies to increase enrollment, one of the top needs identified throughout the State in the recently published Birth to Five Illinois Early Childhood Regional Needs Assessments.
