To maximize impact and collaboration, the Every Child Ready Chicago (ECRC) working group, led by the Mayor’s Office in partnership with Start Early, will expand its membership to serve as the Birth to Five Action Council for the City of Chicago. Through a strategic partnership between Birth to Five Illinois and the Mayor’s Office, we will work collaboratively to establish a strong state and local partnership that meets the needs of the city. Join us to learn more!

Save the date and register for the meeting option that best works for your schedule; the same information will be presented at both meetings:

  • April 6, 2022 – 5:30-7:00 pm

New Resources 

Following our Virtual Kick-Off Events in early February, the Birth to Five Illinois State Team has compiled and condensed all of the questions we received to the best of our ability. Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page to learn more about the Birth to Five Action and Family Councils, how to join, how this regional system will work with existing early childhood collaborations, and more! FAQs are now available in Spanish.
 
All Illinois Early Childhood Asset Map (IECAM) data and maps that were shared for each region during our Kick-Off Events are also available on our website in EnglishSpanish, and Polish.
 
We now have Regional Notes from each Kick-Off Event session available on our website which summarize the general comments, strengths/assets, and needs/challenges identified during each regional session.

We also have a Birth to Five Family Council flyer available for you to share with your networks. One side is in Spanish and the other is in English. Please help us spread the word with the families in your communities.

Selection Committee Interest Forms Now Available

Are you interested in supporting this work but are unable to commit to joining a Birth to Five Action or Family Council right now? We are seeking people to be on the Selection Committee for these Councils.
